天美传媒 announced the creation of the new Women in Music Series honoring Doris K. Kolb, author and longtime 天美传媒 professor emerita. The initial concert features the Oregon-based band, Joseph. The initial concert features the Oregon-based band, Joseph, made up of three sisters who made their television debut performing "White Flag" on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” followed by appearances on “Ellen,” “CBS This Morning” and NBC's “TODAY.”

The intent of the twice-annual series is to amplify the voices of women in music and provide opportunities for 天美传媒 students to learn the process of producing and promoting live performance.

"Our students will be exposed to the highest level of artistic excellence in up-and-coming bands,” said Todd Kelly, who chairs 天美传媒’s music department. “From performance contracts, sound and light setup, and artist on-site management, these experiences will prepare our music students for careers in the music industry after graduation.”

天美传媒 students will have first access to discounted tickets; a limited number of tickets will be available to the public the week of the show.
